Niyal Akmanalp 
Born and raised in Istanbul, Niyal studied Political Science and started her professional life as a journalist at the Associated Press and continued at other national daily newspapers.
She then went into advertising and has been working in this field for over 25 years. She started as a copywriter and now holds the position of a Creative Director and Vice President.
Photography is her late discovered passion. She has attended some ateliers and seminars in this field and her main focus is on black and white street photography.
İstanbul’da doğdu. Siyasal Bilgiler eğitimi aldı. İş yaşamına dış haberler muhabiri olarak başladı ve yerli/yabancı çeşitli haber ajansları ve ulusal gazetelerde çalıştı.
Daha sonra reklam yazarı olarak reklam sektörüne geçiş yaptı. Bugün bir reklam ajansında Yaratıcı Direktör ve Başkan Yardımcısı olarak çalışmaktadır.
Fotoğraf, onun geç keşfedilmiş tutkusudur. Başta İFSAK olmak üzere çeşitli fotoğrafçılık kurs ve seminerlerine katılmıştır. Siyah/beyaz sokak fotoğrafçılığı üzerine yoğunlaşmaktadır.
